چکیده
Hyalella is a genus of epigean freshwater amphipods endemic to the Americas. The study morphological characters alone has traditionally dominated description new species. Recently, molecular systematics tools have contributed identifying many cryptic species and high level convergent evolution in complexes from North America South American highlands. In this study, we evaluate for first time diversity spp. Uruguay, country located humid pampa ecoregion, based on four markers. Thus, investigate systematic position H. curvispina context available phylogenetic hypothesis genus. Phylogenetic analyses confirm that there “curvispina complex”. This complex includes several similar forms but paraphyletic relation some altiplano addition, found one provisional results obtained are contrasted with previous studies help understand mechanisms genetic differentiation speciation genus, which seems strong tendency towards convergence.

A new species of Hyalella from the Andes in Perú (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Hyalellidae).
Hyalella pauperocavae n. sp. from Huancayo, Perú, is described. Five other epigean freshwater amphipods have been described from Peru (excluding Lake Titicaca), but the lack of type material and poor descriptions do not allow the assignment of the species described here to any of the names known for the area.
متن کاملA new species of Hyalella from the High Andes of Ecuador (Crustacea, Amphipoda, Hyalellidae)
Hyalella cajasisp. n. is described from high altitude shallow water lakes in southern Ecuador. This is the second representative of the genus recorded in the country after H. meinerti. The new species shares with nine South American species of the genus the display of a smooth, non-processiferous body, a male first uropod with a modified curved robust seta on the endopod, and six pairs of stern...

Two new species of Hyalella from Brazil are described. Hyalella veredae sp. n. shows the following characters: eyes reduced or absent in some specimens; antenna 1 and antenna 2 of similar size, and a curved seta on the inner ramus of male uropod 1. Hyalella formosa sp. n. is characterized by the absence of eyes, antenna 1 longer than antenna 2 and a curved seta on the inner ramus of male uropod...
متن کاملA new troglobiotic species of Hyalella (Crustacea, Amphipoda, Hyalellidae) with a taxonomic key for the Brazilian species.
The freshwater crustaceans from the order Amphipoda occur mainly in cold and temperate climates. However, in the tropics, these animals can be more abundant in subterranean environments, where the temperatures are milder than in surface. Despite being accepted that the number of species of freshwater amphipods in South America is lower when compared to other regions, recent descriptions have sh...
